Originally from Cheshire, Connecticut, Alex Puhl is a rising senior and honors student at Salve Regina University in Newport, Rhode Island.

Pursuing a major in Finance with a concentration in Wealth Management — and double minors in Accounting and Business Administration — Alex has built a foundation that bridges traditional market expertise with the future of financial technology.

His passion for the intersection of finance and technology was sparked within the university's AI Club, where he began exploring how machine learning could solve complex portfolio management challenges. That spark became the vision for Folio AI — a browser-based advisor that uses behavioral analysis to move beyond simple risk tolerance, creating more intuitive and personalized investment strategies.
